DAY 39, 40, 41, 42

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 8/7 to 8/10/69

Parked our trailer in lot behind Barry and Joyce’s house and slept there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, although Aunt Marge wanted us to sleep in her house. Very hot weather here...just like in L.A. – 80 to 90 degrees. Took kids to public pool. 10 cents for kids and 40 cents for adults! Barry and Joyce took us to a nightclub – stunk! Ate dinner one night at Aunt Marge’s and once at Aunt Bertha’s. Very good. Ate all of Uncle Saul’s fresh vegetables he grows in yard...really beautiful.

Saul & Bertha

Saturday night Marge had a little gathering for us. Busy all the time although not our kind of life. Left after lunch on Sunday.

Uncle Saul had tears in his eyes and made me weep. Drove past Saskatoon into Alberta. Very hot all the way. Such beautiful farm lands. Slept in Vermillion Provincial Park. No charge...by lake and quite nice. Drove until midnight so we could make some time.

8/7 ,8, 9/69, Regina, Saskatchewan
8/10/69, Vermillion Provincial Park, Alberta
