Absolutely perfect day. Warm clear and so mountainous. Magnificent! All read outside and then packed a lunch and went down to lake, beach. Boys took inner tube and in water all time or digging in the sand. Howard and I in water – cold but so refreshing. Really relaxing. Finally, Howard and boys rented a small sailboat for one hour and had such good time. We left beach by 5:00 p.m. Went to Truckee River where they fished a little and floated down on inner tubes. Had spaghetti dinner at our picnic table. Still warmer than we’ve been in the mountains for a long time. After I asleep boys “baby-sat” while Howard and I drove into town for coffee and dessert. Bed late.
