Went on Ranger walk through rainforest. Able to see affect of river on forest and what rain can do – 120 inches! On top of mountains is 200 inches a year. Other side of mountain is 16 inches a year! We all enjoyed this walk; saw trees growing over “nurse logs” -- moss vine maples. Beauty. Pulled up stakes and drove to beach number three. First sunny day and so lovely. Boys swam in this cold Pacific. Found rocks and driftwood.
Fun. Drove on to Kalaloch in Olympic National Forest and luckily got one of the last spots. Unusual campgrounds. Next to sea; very wooded and each site different.
Ours sunny in afternoon. Boys went swimming again until wind started to blow. Went to campfire, dull and cold. Boys bed early and we sat by fire, drank coffee and talked.
