Left Camp Alouette early and on the way to Ottawa. Stopped there to do wash and food shopped in big indoor center. Everything in French and English. Quite warm. Arrived at Fitzroy Provincial Park, 35 miles from Ottawa.
Nice campgrounds surrounded by rivers. Huge tree in our site. This is what we all love – peace in nature. BBQ’d steaks. Made campfire potatoes and onions.
We all had baseball game. Howard and B. against M., D. and me.
Went in river...little on the cool side. Boys plunged in but Howard and me chicken. Had big campfire and left only our screen door open all night so we could get the smells of the forest.
