Drove through the Old Town...all walled in Quebec and loved it. Walked to the Citadel, which overlooks the St. Lawrence River and second largest in the world (first is Gibraltar).
Fantastic city...small streets, each building has a different door...treatment and touch. Drizzled all a.m. but still refreshing.
We watched the (very serious) Royal Guard at the Palace.
then, of course, Benji tried to make them smile.
Walked our feet off and decided to leave in afternoon for Montreal. Went over the Quebec Bridge and onto the Trans-Canada Highway past farms, small homes and beautiful forests. Arrived in Montreal and at Camp Alouette (ugh) by 6:30 p.m.
Light dinner. Mike sick. Think plum at lunch turned his stomach...threw up twice and laid around. Howard, Benji & Danny went into pool for quick swim while I took a lukewarm to cold shower in the bath house. All of us read late. Mike had hard time sleeping...finally popped off. Howard planned our trip to the EXPO. Clear and full moon. Hope rainy spell is over.
